Access to remedy for victims of human rights abuses by multinational enterprises is often extremely limited. In many jurisdictions around the world, it is almost impossible to hold powerful corporate actors to account through the courts for systemic environmental problems or human right abuses.
The ACCA and its member organisations possess a wealth of knowledge and expertise as to how to combat obstacles to redress. The KHRC (ACCA member organisation) is committed to helping victims to enforce their rights against multinational companies, and Leigh Day has unrivalled experience in seeking legal remedy against corporations around the world.
Accordingly, we are delighted to be working with the ACCA in holding a side-event which draws together the expertise and experiences of the ACCA, its member organisations, the KHRC and Leigh Day to share our experience to improving access to remedy for victims.
