VISA
Entry into Ivory Coast at the Abidjan International Airport requires a valid visa, for all travelers, except those from ECOWAS country.
Nationalities exempt from visa:
- Benin
- Burkina Faso
- Cape Verde
- Central African Republic
- Chad
- Congo
- Gambia
- Ghana
- Guinea
- Guinea-Bissau
- Liberia
- Mali
- Mauritania
- Morocco
- Niger
- Nigeria
- Senegal
- Seychelles
- Sierra Leone
- Republic Congo (Brazzaville)
- Togo
- Tunisia.
To obtain your visa, two options are available :
Option 1: Submit an application for a visa at the Ivory Coast Embassy or High Commission located in your country of residence.
Option 2: Apply for an online visa application to Ivory Coast, using the web site: SNEDAI, using the following link: https://snedai.com/e-visa/
The online visa application requires 4 supporting documents, namely :
- Bio page of the passport
- Booking flight ticket
- Invitation letter signed by both ACCA and GRPIE
- Proof of accommodation

If you opt for option 2 then, you will necessarily have to follow carefully the 3 stages of the procedure which are:
Step 1: Pre-enrollment and Payment
Step 2: Receiving the response from the DST
Step 3: Enrollment at Abidjan Airport
Please, we strongly recommend you to use option No 1.
The 2nd option is strictly reserved for those who faced issues with option No1 for different reasons.
Health Formalities
The yellow fever vaccine is required to enter the Ivorian soil (the international vaccination booklet must be presented upon arrival at Félix Houphouët Boigny airport in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire).
We remind pregnant women that every airline has a particular policy on the term not to exceed to be allowed to travel. Restrictions to fly might be applied from 7th month of pregnancy.
The flight may be prohibited or a medical certificate may be required. Kindly inquire with your company beforehand so you can avoid being denied boarding.
In addition, travelers coming from countries affected by the Ebola epidemic can be subjected to compulsory formalities: declarative form, taking of body temperature …

Airport Transport
The hotel has a shuttle that will transfer you from the airport to the hotel, right out of the airport. The same arrangements are made for your return.
IMPORTANT: If your flight must be delayed to the departure country, please inform us in advance through the phone numbers / WhatsApp mentioned above.
Please take note that ACCA will not be responsible for missed flights or last-minute itinerary changes. In case of emergency, if you need to cancel a flight due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, please contact us before departure time.
Sponsorship at the hotel
The workshop is held within the hotel where you reside.
ACCA will cover the costs of some participants including:
- Accommodation;
- Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet at the hotel;
- Coffee breaks (morning and afternoon).
- Any other expense outside the meetings is the responsibility of the person concerned.
Refunds
ACCA does not support:
- Taxi or travel expenses in your countries
- Insurance costs; visas or vaccines
- The perdiems.
- Apart from the above-mentioned travel expenses, no reimbursement will be taken into account by the ACCA.
Other participants will receive partial support.
Technical and financial partners undertake to cover the costs of the participation of certain participants.
Registration
For security reasons, all participants to ACCA GA must register and have a badge upon arrival at the hotel, even before attending sessions.
Welcome Dinner
ACCA will be hosting a Welcome Dinner to all participants on Thursday, November 07, 2019 from 7:00 pm. We will specify the place and the required provisions.
Pharmacy
The organising team will put in the workshop room a pharmaceutical box of generic drugs for minor needs.
Participants with particular health concerns are advised to carry with them all their medications and any necessary medical devices they need.
Language in use during the General Assembly
The working language throughout the workshop period is French, English and Chinese. Simultaneous translation will be provided in all the 3 languages throughout the ACCA General Assembly.
Weather in Abidjan
During November, the weather in Abidjan is wet with 118mm of rain over 12 days (it rains 40% of the days of the month) and the average temperature is 27.5° C.
At night the temperatures fall to 25° C and the day they can reach 31° C.
On the day of the GA, the temperature will be approximately 25°C - 30° C during the day.
The meeting room will be air-conditioned throughout the workshop period.
Currency in Ivory Coast
The currency used in Ivory Coast is the CFA XOF Franc of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).

Electrical Outlets
Electricity standards: voltage 220 V frequency 50 Hz
Electric sockets used: type C type E
The catches and the electricity network in Ivory Coast are to the same standards as in France. No adapter is necessary if you come from France. If you come from another country, you may need a travel adapter (or universal AC adapter) to use your electrical devices in Ivory Coast.
